9/11 — Five Years Later

September 11, 2006 by Erich Scholz

I took this picture of the burning towers with a Polaroid from the roof of my apartment on Henry Street in Brooklyn. About 30 minutes later our neigborhood was completely enveloped in a thick, dark cloud of debris. I still have pieces of paper from the WTC that flew over the East River and landed on my building. The sky was filled with paper that morning before the towers collapsed. It looked like glitter.
