I got off work early today. This was, of course, after spending 12 hours at work the day before.
Anyway, I’m home now. Drinking some white wine and watching Tim and Eric on the net. I also listened to a bit of the debate between Obama and McCain on the radio. Yawn.
Tim Heidecker Stand up clip is on YouTube. Here’s the link.
Tim starts his routine by talking about a snow storm in New York. He then goes into a dialogue about people being either into Pepsi or Coke. The rest of the five minute video is about Pepsi and Coke. He describes a meeting at his manager’s house. Tim only likes Coke and was offended by his manager only having Pepsi. Tim goes to a movie theater’s concession stand. A “bitch” behind the counter says they only have Pepsi after he orders a Coke. Says they should have a sign saying so. A smattering of laughter is heard from the audience.
Tim then criticizes Cherry Coke. He says it’s too sweet…like Pepsi! He then observes that it seems like every week a new soda is introduced and references Sierra Mist. Says he should call Pepsi headquarters and tell them he liked their soda — when it was called 7-Up. He gets his biggest laugh. Says he likes Sierra Mist commercials and thinks that they are funny.
He then talks about commercials for Coke from his childhood. Starts singing “I’d Like to Buy the World a Coke” and gets an audience member to harmonize with him before thanking the crowd and leaving the stage. Sheer genius.
